From those ribbons, I designed a few more awareness ribbons with the same process as the Red, white and blue ribbons. A few
are listed below, and others will be added as we acquire the cloth and ribbon needed to create them.
A little about the
ribbons themselves...
These ribbons are made from cloth and satin ribbon. We hand make each of these ribbons
from scratch (see pics below). We take cotton fabric, and cut it to size, then we iron it in half then fours, then we take satin ribbon
and sew them together. We then put clear enamel on the ends of the cloth and satin ribbon to help prevent fraying. We also attach a
white star, a Cross, or small bow to the center. Our Autism ribbons come with either a red, or blue heart patch, or a fire
truck or spaceship patch, or a heart button. Which adornment you get will depend on what we have in stock.
Ribbons are approximately 21/2" high, and 1 1/2" wide at the bottom.
At the bottom of this page is a list of the different colors for awareness ribbons and
what each color is in awareness of. My goal is to eventually have a ribbon for ever color.
Ribbons are $2.50 each, plus $2.50 shipping on first ribbon, multiple ribbons can be shipped for the same $2.00 fee,
therefore, shipping charges only apply to the first ribbon, all additional ribbons ship free in the same padded

Red Ribbon - Most
commonly associated with the fight against Aids and HIV. Lately it also has been widely associated with Heart Disease. It's also a symbol for
substance abuse, MADD, DARE, Epidermolysis Bullosa
Orange Ribbon - This color is a symbol of leukemia, hunger, lupus, and cultural
diversity
Green Ribbon - This color is commonly associated with tissue/organ
donation. It is also associated with environmental concerns, kidney cancer, childhood depression, missing children, and worker and driving
safety
Dark Blue Ribbon - This color is a symbol of child abuse prevention, arthritis, victim's
rights, free speech, water quality, domestic violence, and water safety
Purple Ribbon - This color is a symbol of pancreatic cancer, domestic violence, religious
tolerance, animal abuse, the victims of 9/11 including the police and firefighters, Crohn's disease and colitis, cystic fibrosis,
